Littleton Trail To Close Temporarily For C-470 Work

South Platte Bridge Demolition will temporarily close the Mary Carter Trail, the city said.

LITTLETON, CO – Walkers and cyclists will have to detour if they want to use Littleton's Mary Carter Trail this month, the city said. As part of the C-470 Express Lanes construction project, the trail, both northbound and southbound will be closed while CDOT demolishes South Platte Bridge.

The trail will be closed beginning mid- June for approximately 2 weeks, the city said.

Here are the detours recommended:
Western detour: Follow the Columbine Trail along Chatfield Avenue and Platte Canyon Road. Take the Mineral Trail along Mineral Avenue to connect back onto Mary Carter Greenway Trail. Detour is approximately 3.2 miles, 0.3 miles longer than original route.
Eastern detours: Follow the High Line Canal Trail to Southpark Lane. Take the Mineral Avenue Trail. After crossing Santa Fe Drive, continue on the Railroad Spur Trail back onto Mary Carter Greenway Trail. Detour is approximately 3 miles, 1 mile shorter than original route.
