Residents at a Littleton memory care community recently showed their love for children across the globe. The seniors at Highline Place, an Anthem Memory Care community, packed over 15 shoeboxes of toys and essentials for youngsters for Operation Christmas Child.

The residents delivered the boxes to South Suburban Church in Littleton who partnered with Samaritan’s Purse. Since 1993, more than 209 million children in more than 170 countries have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox.

“Even though our residents have a dementia diagnosis, they can still have a connection with the world around them. Continuing to make a difference in the lives of others makes this a favorite activity,” said Annalise Wasberg, life engagement director for Highline Place. “Our seniors embraced the idea of doing something to bless children all over the world.”
