Merryhill Preschool Students Release Ladybugs for Earth Day

On April 22, students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing beneficial bugs into their schoolyard

On April 22, students at Merryhill Preschool in Castle Rock bugged out in celebration of Earth Day as they released ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers, and trees.

Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees, and shrubs. Merryhill Preschool teaches the importance of caring for the Earth and exploring nature at an early age.
