Officer Snook In Stable Condition; Fund Set Up For His Family

Officer David Snook, who was shot overnight Tuesday, is still in the ICU. The public can help his family by donating to a credit union fund.

LITTLETON, CO — Officer David Snook is continuing to recover and remains in stable condition in the ICU after he was shot while on-duty overnight Tuesday, city officials say.

Anyone wanting to help Snook, his wife and his three young children can donate to a fund set up at the Rocky Mountain Credit Union in his name, city officials said.

"The Littleton Police Department has been humbled by the outpouring of support from the community during this difficult time," officials wrote on the city of Littleton website.

Snook was shot at least three times while he and another officer were responding to a call of shots fired in the area of Bannock Street and West Powers Avenue.

He was "gravely wounded" in the shooting, Littleton Police Chief Doug Stephens said, and underwent surgery.

The suspect in the shooting has been identified as 33-year-old Rigoberto Valles Dominguez, who is still at large and is considered to be "armed and dangerous."
