Police Received Warnings About Colorado Cop Shooter: Report
Matthew Riehl, the man who shot at deputies, killing one Sunday, apparently made threats in the past prompting warnings to be issued.

HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO -- The Iraq War veteran, who authorities said shot four deputies and killed one on Sunday, apparently made threats in the past prompting warnings to be issued. The Denver Post reported Matthew Riehl "made veiled threats against professors" at the University of Wyoming.
The reported threats prompted authorities at the university to warn the local police department. The warning happened "in mid-November, more than six weeks" before Sunday's ambush that left Deputy Zackari Parrish, the Post reported.
Riehl, who suffered from mental illnesses, apparently also detailed his hatred for law enforcement in a YouTube video and on Facebook.

The deadly incident began early Sunday when deputies responded to a report of a noise complaint at an apartment complex. They returned hours later to a report of a domestic disturbance and were ambushed with gunfire. All fell within seconds of each other and thenRiehl, armed with a rifle, barricaded himself in the bedroom.
The fallen deputy was remembered Monday during a memorial service where his wife, Gracie Parrish, said ""I will do everything in my power, Zack Parrish, to honor you." Zackari Parrish leaves behind three daughters.

At tonight’s candlelight vigil to honor and remember Deputy Zackari Parish, there were three common themes: he loved God, he loved his family, and loved being a Law Enforcement officer... in that order. We need more men like this in world... He will be dearly missed. pic.twitter.com/bPGrenMbto
