Riverstone Education Preschool Students in Lone Tree Release Ladybugs

Students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing beneficial bugs into their schoolyard

Students at Riverstone Education Preschool in Lone Tree explored a bug’s life in celebration of Earth Day as they released ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. In addition to the ladybug release, students created mini gardens in the schoolyard and assisted with a community trash clean-up.

Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Riverstone Education Preschool teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
