Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Littleton Area
The National Weather Service has issued an alert for parts of Arapahoe and Douglas counties.
LITTLETON, CO — Weather officials have issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Littleton area.
The alert remains in effect until 2:45 p.m. Friday.

- Northeast Douglas County
- Southwest Arapahoe County
Wind could gust up to 60 mph and half-dollar size hail is possible, the National Weather Service said.
"Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees," the alert read. "Hail damage to vehicles is expected."

"For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building," the alert read.
"If on or near Cherry Creek Reservoir, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm."
