Summer Campers at Merryhill Preschool in Aurora Donate School Supply Items to Local Children in Need

Campers collected backpacks and school supplies for a local nonprofit

Summer campers at Merryhill Preschool in Aurora recently held a donation drive to collect school supplies and backpacks for The Struggle of Love, which provides opportunities for underprivileged youth and/or families to access year-round services and programs. Together, campers and their families collected backpacks and school supply items, including binders, colored pencils, folders, notebooks, scissors, and more.

Merryhill Preschool instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
