Asst. Principal Resigns After Being Accused Of Supplying Booze
A Carmody Middle School administrator was arrested and is facing charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

LITTLETON, CO – UPDATE: A JeffCo Public Schools middle school administrator resigned Monday following an arrest based on allegations that he provided alcohol to an underage male, a Class-4 felony. Police are asking for witnesses to come forward if they know about any other inappropriate activity with underage children, they said in a statement.
Police took Michael Pate, 38, into custody at his home in Littleton March 1 around 8 a.m. Pate worked as an assistant principal and activities director for 7th grade at Carmody Middle School, 2050 S Kipling St. in Denver, according to the schools' website. He was a former assistant director of Outdoor Labs, a sixth grade week-long outdoor program, police said in a statement.
Pate was placed on administrative leave Friday.

In a letter to parents, Carmody Principal Wendy Doran said the school was told by law enforcement officials that the incident did not involve a student at Carmody.

We are writing to inform you that Assistant Principal, Mr. Michael Pate, was arrested today for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, for allegedly providing alcohol to someone under the age of 21. At this time, we do not have further details regarding his arrest; however, it has been reported to us by law enforcement that the underlying incident is not connected to our school or to any of our current Carmody students....
