Vaccines Delivered Vs. Used In Colorado: Feb. 18

As America ramps up its vaccination effort, how many vaccines delivered to Colorado have been used?

COLORADO — As millions of Americans wait for their turn to receive a coronavirus vaccine and the nation’s leaders vow to ramp up distribution, states have differed in how much of their supply has been used so far.

In Colorado, 1,282,300 vaccine doses have been distributed, and 1,053,041 have been administered, so just over 82 percent of the deliveries to our state have gone into arms, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that is updated daily.

Complicated storage procedures and no-shows for vaccine appointments are some of the factors that delay vaccine administration after a shipment arrives, public health officials said.
