Water Main Break Closes Greenwood Village Street

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO — A water main break early on Tuesday morning closed down Costilla Avenue in both directions at Clinton Street, according to Greenwood Village officials. The intersection is just east of Interstate 25 and south of East Arapahoe Road, near the local post office.

City officials and police are urging drivers to avoid the area and to take Arapahoe Road to Dayton Street as an alternate route. Clinton Street was still open Tuesday afternoon.

A police official said that Costilla Avenue likely would be closed for several more hours, until Tuesday evening.
