Wind Crest, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Highlands Ranch, Colo., recently celebrated the opening of its final independent living residence building, Dillon Landing.

The grand opening celebration offered future Dillon Landing residents and community members the chance to tour the new building, participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and enjoy a happy hour with champagne, wine, and refreshments.

The opening of Dillon Landing marks the completion of development at Wind Crest. Over the last 18 years, the community has built 18 buildings including three clubhouses, 13 residence buildings, and a continuing care neighborhood—an expansion of which just opened earlier this year. The community is home to more than 2,100 seniors.

"The grand opening of Dillon Landing is an exciting milestone affirming what Wind Crest is today—a thriving, connected community," said Executive Director Craig Erickson. "Since opening in 2007, Wind Crest has been proud to meet the tremendous demand for our active, maintenance-free lifestyle in Colorado."

Dillon Landing brings 94 additional residences to Wind Crest. The building features four brand-new floor plan designs and a variety of the community's most sought-after one- and two-bedroom homes, ranging in size from 835 to more than 2,200 square feet.

Residents of the new building will have easy access to all the community has to offer, including top-notch restaurants, hundreds of resident-run clubs, and outstanding amenities, including an on-site medical center, fitness center, all-season aquatics center, salons, and CVS store and pharmacy. Dillon Landing will also bring a hobby shop to Wind Crest, including a kiln for making pottery and a room for jewelry making.

"Homes at Dillon Landing are reserving quickly," says Director Beth Conrad. "If you're interested in being part of this active, vibrant community, I highly recommend talking with a sales team member right away to secure your spot."
