• The 32-year-old Colorado cowboy driving to the moon—and eventually Mars (fastcompany.com subscription) — A cutting-edge lunar rover prototype is being test-driven right now in a Rye cattle pasture, turning familiar ranchland into a stand-in for the moon’s surface. The vehicle, built by Denver-area startup Lunar Outpost, is competing for a multibillion-dollar NASA contract to ferry astronauts and experiments on future Artemis missions, with a decision expected this month.
