Over 11K CT Residents Lose Power As Major Nor'Easter Slams State, Several Roads Closed

Town-by-town power outages across Connecticut have been released. Here are the live conditions on outages across the state.

Several thousand Connecticut residents remain without power as a strong nor-easter storm continues to impact our weather on Monday.

Not much has changed as wind gusts could reach up to 45 mph at times, especially along the shoreline, and total rainfall could reach three inches by early Tuesday.

Eversource said "Our crews have restored more than 29K of our customers since the storm started last night. As strong wind gusts and heavy rain continue to cause additional damage, we're working as quickly and safely as possible to clear blocked roads like here in Newtown and to make repairs."

The National Weather Service has recorded these wind gusts thus far: Bridgeport Airport, 47 mph, Stamford, 47 mph, St. Lukes School, 41, Fairfield, 40 mph, Bethany, 43, New Haven Airport, 41, Prospect, 41 mph, and the Groton Airport, 44 mph.

Most areas in southern Connecticut have reported more than 1.5 inches of rain through early Monday. (View that full report here).

When does the storm end?

It appears up to another inch of rain is possible through Monday evening. Wind gusts will decrease after midnight to around 20 to 30 mph. Tuesday appears mainly dry but mostly cloudy with diminished wind gusts to around 15 mph. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday appears to be beautiful fall weather days.
