21-Year-Old Woman Dies In Crash Involving 2 Teslas, State Police Say
A woman is dead following a head-on crash, according to state police.
GRISWOLD, CT — A woman is dead following an accident involving two Teslas in Griswold on Sunday, according to state police. The crash occurred on Preston Road at the intersection with I-395.
A white 2021 Tesla Model Y was driving northbound and a gray 2024 Tesla Model Y was driving southbound at 2:51 p.m.
The gray Tesla crossed the double-yellow line into the northbound lane and collided with the white Tesla, state police said.

Both drivers suffered suspected minor injuries.
Alexis Newcomb, 21, of Ashburnham, Massachusetts, was a passenger in the white Tesla. She was taken to William Backus Hospital for treatment of serious injuries and was pronounced dead.

State police are investigating the crash.
