NEW BRITAIN, CT — The two CIAC state championship track and field meets Monday in Veterans Stadium at Willow Brook Park wound up in a total contradiction of results.

In Class S, the boys' team from Bloomfield took top honors for the fourth consecutive season, while the Lyme-Old Lyme girls successfully defended their title from 2024.

By contrast, the Class LL meet yielded one team champion which had not won a state title in 35 years, and another which reached the pinnacle for the first time in school history.
