4 CT Towns Among America's Favorite Christmas Shopping Destinations
If you want to do your Christmas shopping in style, one Connecticut town is among the best choices around.
MYSTIC, CT — Online shopping keeps growing every year, but when it comes to holiday shopping, nothing quite beats a traditional New England Main Street with local, unique businesses.
Four Connecticut towns made a list of the country's favorite Christmas shopping destinations, with Main Street in Mystic coming in at No. 4.
Topping the list was Aurora, New York, followed by Cooperstown, New York, and New Hope, Pennsylvania.

Present.com carried out a survey of 3,000 respondents to uncover the best main streets for Christmas shopping in America - places where you can find everything from boutique stores and artisan shops to historic storefronts.
Here's what they had to say about Mystic: "The Main Street in Mystic, Connecticut, really captures the spirit of New England Christmas. Here you’ll find a range of specialty shops, bookstores, local eateries and eclectic boutiques which actually make gift-hunting a joy, rather than a chore. Once you’ve finished shopping, you can stroll by Mystic River and check out its iconic drawbridge."

Main Street in Essex came in at No. 60 for its "classic New England Christmas feel, with festive decor, unique shops, and a small-town vibe perfect for finding special holiday gifts."
West Street in Litchfield came in at No. 75 and Whitfield Street in Guilford was No. 112.
