For $60M, You Can Own Connecticut’s Most Expensive Home

CONNECTICUT — If you’re deep-pocketed enough to afford it, a $60 million castle in Woodstock could give you the opportunity to purchase the most expensive home for sale in Connecticut.

We’ve profiled this estate a few times at Patch. Apparently, inflation also affects the asking price of Connecticut castles; The property was listed at $35 million in late 2021. The new $60 million tag makes it one of the highest asking prices in the country.

The castle features nearly 19,000 square feet of living space, a moat, 12 fireplaces, 800 amp electrical service, and 75 acres of land.

The most expensive homes on the market in the U.S. range in value from $225 million in California to $3 million in Nebraska, according to the real estate platform Point2Homes.com, which put together a list of the most expensive homes in for sale every U.S. state.
