Boston Marathon 2025: Connecticut's Best By Gender, County, Hometown
There were 349 Connecticut residents who officially completed the entire 26.2 mile Boston Marathon course Monday.
BOSTON, MA — The 129th running of the Boston Marathon is in the books, which means it's time for our annual breakdown of finishers from Connecticut. More than 32,000 participants toed the starting line in the suburb of Hopkinton, representing all 50 states and over 110 foreign countries. While not all the starters ended up traversing the entire 26.2 miles to Boylston Street, a total of 349 runners from the Nutmeg State managed to cross the finish line.
Here are lists of Connecticut's top 10 male finishers, top 10 female finishers, the top male and female from each of the state's eight counties, and - for local bragging rights - the top individual finisher from 77 statewide towns served by Patch sites. The information includes the athlete's name, age and registered hometown.
NOTE: Under a new policy enacted this year, race officials stopped counting finishing times at 5:30 p.m. Monday. Anyone crossing the finish line after that time is not credited with having completed the entire course.
