After officers make a large enough opening to reach the woman, an officer tells her, “Come on,” and “Get out - the car’s on fire.”
The woman, who is conscious, moves toward the windshield and police pull her out of it to safety.
Bristol firefighters extinguished the car fire, and emergency medical responders evaluated the driver, who was not seriously injured, police said.
“We are very grateful to our officers for their quick actions in getting the driver out of harm's way and for the fact that this incident did not result in any serious injury,” police said, in a Facebook post.
The utility pole was knocked down in the accident, which remains under investigation.
