Championship Matchups Set: Sunday's CIAC Football Playoff Scoreboard

CONNECTICUT — Semifinal Sunday brought a few surprises into the CIAC state football playoffs, and set up some intriguing matchups for next weekend's championship games.

Of the dozen teams who punched their tickets to the finals by winning Sunday, just two were top-seeded in their respective classes, while three No. 2 seeds will be competing for state crowns.

Championship Weekend kicks off Friday night with one game each at Rentschler Field at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford and Arute Field at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain. On Saturday, two title contests will be played at each venue.
