Change Announced For Prominent CT News Anchor
Television news in Connecticut has seen several on-air changes in recent months.
CONNECTICUT — Tim Lammers, co-anchor of Fox61's morning newscast, is reportedly on the move.
The veteran anchor, who has been with the station for more than 20 years, has moved from his morning post to the 5 p.m. weekday newscast, The Laurel reported.
Lammers missed time from the station last year after undergoing hip replacement surgery, the result of avascular necrosis, called AVN, a rare degenerative bone disease.

He is a South Windsor native, who joined the station in 2002 as a sports producer. Over the years, Lammers has logged time as a videographer, health reporter, and anchor, among other positions.
In recent months, Connecticut's news air waves have undergone considerable change, as on-air reporters and anchors have left their stations or changed roles.

Earlier this year, NBC Connecticut unveiled a new anchor lineup, which led to anchor Shannon Miller leaving the station to head back to her home state of Texas, where she is joining KXAS-TV in Dallas.
The state's television landscape is also facing potential changes following President Trump's recent executive order cutting funding to National Public Radio and PBS television stations.
Eight television and radio stations are facing funding cuts under the executive order, NPR member stations WNPR-FM, Meriden; WPKT-FM, Norwich; WEDW-FM, Stamford; and WSHU-AM, Westport; and PBS television stationsWEDH Hartford; WEDW Bridgeport; WEDN Norwich; and WEDY New Haven.
Trump called for the cuts in order to stop what he considers "biased and partisan news coverage."
