CONNECTICUT — Chase is moving along with plans to expand its banking footprint in Connecticut.
Chase officials told Patch Wednesday that the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has given the nod for branches to be opened in Old Saybrook in August and others in 2026.
The Old Saybrook branch will be located at the corner of Boston Post Road and Denmore Lane and will be the first Chase bank in town.

Said Chase officials about this summer's opening, "As we continue expanding our branch network across Connecticut, we want to be the bank for all and have a lasting impact on local economies, families and neighborhoods across the state. We look forward to opening Old Saybrook this year and serving the people of that great community."
About 14 months ago, Chase announced that it will open more than 500 new bank branches, renovate approximately 1,700 locations and hire 3,500 employees over the next three years and Connecticut was fully in the mix.
The goal, Chase officials said, is "to provide greater access to banking and bring affordable and convenient financial services to more customers and communities across the country."
Chase officials said that, as part of the national branch expansion plan, several branches in Connecticut are targeted for the next three years. Announced then were Groton (971 Poquonnock Road), Bloomfield (417 Cottage Grove Road) and New Britain.
Those came on the heels of a branch opening in Vernon.
Said Cynthia Frederick, Chase's Regional Director, Consumer Bank, Connecticut, "Expanding our presence in Connecticut means even more actively contributing to local economic growth and providing exceptional financial services to the communities we serve. The state is home to so many valued customers, clients, employees and community partners. We are proud to contribute to the state’s progress and prosperity through our continued investments and initiatives."
Chase has a branch or ATM presence in 48 spots in Connecticut. See the full list here.
