CIAC Boys Basketball State Tournament Brackets Released

41 teams from Hartford and Tolland counties have qualified for state tournament competition; finals are March 15-16 at Mohegan Sun Arena.

HARTFORD-TOLLAND COUNTIES, CT — A total of 41 high school boys basketball teams from Hartford and Tolland counties have accomplished step one toward achieving their ultimate goal: winning a state championship. They have done so by qualifying for CIAC tournament play, and brackets were released Wednesday.

Three area teams have qualified as the top seeds in their respective divisions: Northwest Catholic (Div. I), Manchester (Div. II) and Ellington (Div. IV).

The 2024 champions were Notre Dame-West Haven (I), Windsor (II), Bunnell (III), Innovation (IV) and Lyme-Old Lyme (V). At least two new champions will be crowned, as Windsor has moved up to Div. I and Innovation to Div. II.

Here is the first-round schedule of games involving teams from the region. NOTE: In Div. I, all 16 teams received a first-round bye, so those listings reflect second-round pairings.
