Connecticut TV News Station Unveils New Anchor Lineup
NBC Connecticut is undergoing changes to its weekday and weekend morning newscasts.
CONNECTICUT — On the heels of Heidi Voight's announcement of her departure from the station, NBC Connecticut is prepping new, morning anchor lineups for its weekday and weekend newscasts.
According to parent company NBCUniversal News Group, Eddie Randle, a veteran news host who's new to the station, and Shannon Miller will anchor the morning newscast during the week, and they will be joined by meteorologist Bob Maxon. The new weekday morning lineup debuts March 3.
Meanwhile, Taylor Kinzler will anchor weekend mornings, which is a promotion for her. She has served as host of the station's lifestyle show, CT Live! since its inception, and in her new role, she will be joined by meteorologist Alexis Clemons.

The move is set for March 1, and while she says it is bittersweet to leave CT Live!, she is excited for her new role.
"When I moved to Connecticut in 2018 to help launch our station’s first lifestyle show, I never could have imagined it would evolve into something so meaningful," Kinzler wrote on Facebook. "Over the last 7 years, I’ve traveled to nearly every corner of this state, introducing you to the incredible organizations, must-visit destinations and community traditions that make CT so special."

Kinzler added, "I can’t wait to get started and hope you’ll wake up (bright and early) with me as I make this transition. Cheers to new beginnings!"
Additionally, Julia LeBlanc, who left Fox61 in January, will join the Randle/Miller/Maxon team as a weekday news reporter, according to the station.
LeBlanc, a Newtown native, joins reporters Jennifer Joas and Sydney Boyo in her new post on Tuesday.
Randle joins NBC Connecticut from KSN in Wichita, Kansas, a Nexstar Media Group station, where he had been since December 2021, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Prior to KSN, Randle was with KUSA-TV for five years, and also KOKI FOX23 for three years before that.
He holds a Master of Arts degree from Southern University and A&M College at Baton Rouge.
In a statement, station officials said the changes will help continue to drive its news coverage.
"Our new lineup brings with it a unique set [of] personal and professional experiences," officials said. "They will help further our mission of serving our community with impactful and informative coverage of the most important stories, issues and events affecting audiences in Connecticut."
