CT Coronavirus Updates: School-By-School Cases

The number of coronavirus-related cases involving students declined significantly last week. Here are numbers for every school in CT.

CONNECTICUT — Reported coronavirus cases dropped among students and staff in preK-12 schools this past week — there were nearly a third less reported cases among students than the previous week.

There were 879 student cases and 388 staff cases between Dec. 10 and 16. The previous week had the most recorded student cases at 1,303.

Around 44 percent of school districts were mostly fully in-person, 28 percent were hybrid and 28 percent were fully remote as of Dec. 11.

Connecticut’s school learning model indicators remained in the highest risk category between Nov. 29 and Dec. 12. The state averaged 61.4 daily coronavirus cases per 100,000 residents during the time period — the cutoff for the highest risk category is 25 or more. Schools should consider less in-person learning, according to the state guidelines.
