The owners said they are "ready to slow down and enjoy life a little."
COLUMBIA, CT — A roadside restaurant will close after seven years in business. The Main Moose, a burger joint on Route 64 in Columbia, made the announcement on Facebook this week.
"It’s bittersweet to say, but we’ve decided it’s time to close The Main Moose," the establishment posted. "This wasn’t an easy choice, but after years of hard work, we’re ready to spend more time with family, travel a bit, and make memories with our grandkids. We’re sad to say goodbye, but the grandkids are very excited to spend more time with Mimi and Papa!"
The owners thanked their "amazing customers" and gave "a huge shoutout to our incredible staff, past and present."
