CT State Trooper Arrested After Disturbance Involving Firearm
The charges stem from an incident in August, according to state police.

GRISWOLD, CT — A Connecticut state trooper was arrested on a warrant Tuesday following a domestic disturbance involving a firearm in August.
Edward Joshua Gookin, 37, of Griswold, was charged Tuesday with illegal discharge of a firearm, risk of injury to a child, and first-degree reckless endangerment.
He posted a $25,000 bond and was due to be arraigned today in Superior Court in Norwich.

The new charges stem from an incident on Aug. 28 in Griswold, according to a police report. Gookin was previously charged with disorderly conduct for the same incident, according to state police and court documents.
Police did not provide additional details on what transpired.

Gookin is currently on administrative duty.
