It will continue to feel cold and windy on Tuesday, with plenty of clouds.
"The clouds and northeasterly wind we expect today are compliments of an offshore low drifting back toward New England (retrograding , moving from east to west). This will lead to a cooler day with highs between 40 and 45. At the same time the onshore flow will make it feel a bit chillier. Areas of drizzle will also be possible. So overall, it will be a bit of a raw day," said WFSB 3 chief meteorologist Mark Dixon with Scot Haney.

"As a cold front approaches from the west Wednesday, isolated showers are possible (especially later in the day). Otherwise, it will be cloudy, but milder. In advance of the cold front the wind becomes southerly, helping to boost temperatures well into the 50s!" Dixon and Haney said.
"The front stalls nearby, so as an area of low pressure rides along it Thursday, a more substantial round of rain appears likely. We’ve issued a First Alert as an additional inch (or more) of rain is possible, something we don’t need after all of the rain that fell this past Saturday. In fact, parts of CT are already in the level 1 risk for excessive rainfall, signaling the chance for some minor flooding issues as this rain falls atop saturated soils. Showers could linger into early Friday before we trend drier. As we close out the week, we expect partial clearing Friday afternoon, but it will be breezy and a bit cooler," Dixon and Haney said.
