Thunderstorms, Heat Dominate Friday, Weekend Forecast: New Details Released
It may feel as hot as 100 degrees on Friday, and the weekend looks stormy and unsettled across Connecticut.

CONNECTICUT — Here comes the heat and humidity and the chance for more thunderstorms and unsettled weather this weekend across Connecticut.
"It’s a clear start to this August 2nd, but boy is it warmer than normal, what else is new, and it’s humid too. Dewpoints are once again back in the 70s as are our temperatures. You’re going to want that fan or AC going today," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.
"While the final day of the work week features periods of dry/brighter weather, there will also be periods of wet/stormy weather. The humidity? It’ll be even more noticeable compared to yesterday," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.

"Today begins mostly clear, but expect some clouds to roll in this afternoon as temperatures again climb into the upper 80s and low 90s. Don’t forget --- the humidity will make it feel like it’s in the upper 90s, perhaps even 100! Once again, A Heat Advisory has been issued for today and tomorrow, now expanded to include Litchfield county. Given how humid it will be, isolated showers/storms are expected in the afternoon and evening. Severe weather is not expected at this point in time," added WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.
"Unfortunately, the active pattern continues over the weekend. Both days appear unsettled, with chances for rain/storms. We’ve issued another First Alert for Saturday due to the heat and humidity and Sunday for the potential for storms. While there could be storms around tomorrow, Sunday looks like the more active day... scattered storms and downpours could have an impact on your outdoor plans," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.
