More Snow On The Way For CT: Here's When, What To Know

Two more snow chances emerge in Connecticut's forecast, and then major changes commence midweek. Here are the new details.

Our active weather pattern continues as some very light snow is forecast Saturday night and up to an inch of snow could fall in some towns across Connecticut, forecasters said.

There will be another chance for some light snow on Monday before things turn much warmer midweek.

"At night, a weakening system moves through New England while stronger low pressure passes by well offshore," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Light snow showers are expected overnight, mainly after 12am and ending east by 7am. A fluffy coating to a half inch will be possible (locally up to 1″ especially NW CT), and perhaps a few slick spots. Roads will be in good shape after sunrise tomorrow, especially as the clouds begin breaking up. By Sunday afternoon, highs will be between 30 and 35 under a partly sunny sky."

Another snow chance on Monday

WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said Monday will be cold and "another weak system passes by, bringing more clouds... and perhaps another chance for light snow, as new data has come back with that chance."

Finally, a warmup commences

"Tuesday, temperatures climb into the mid and upper 30s under a mostly sunny sky. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, we’ll have to monitor a warm front moving in and precipitation falling in the form of a wintry mix. Wednesday PM looks even milder... highs reach the lower 40s despite a mostly cloudy sky. Isolated showers are expected, mainly in the form of rain. The milder air keeps on building with temperatures Thursday forecast to reach the mid-40s under a brighter sky! Friday, temperatures will climb into the upper 40s. While it will be balmy for mid-January, you may not be able to enjoy it outdoors as showers will be possible," WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said. (Read more at WFSB 3 TV).
