And the National Weather Service released its first look at the long July 4th holiday weekend, and there appears to be a 50 percent chance of some rain showers and possibly thunderstorms each day. The good news is that no day appears to be a washout, and the rain and possible storms are forecast to be scattered across the state.
"Heading into the Holiday weekend, another frontal system will move our way," wrote WFSB 3 TV meteorologists Mark Dixon with Scot Haney. "Provided this, there will be a renewed chance for showers and thunderstorms, especially later Saturday, then more so Sunday. Also, the humidity will increase again."
