Find out when meteorologists say the next chances for snow will be in the week ahead.

Snow could impact Connecticut mid-week and again this coming weekend, according to meteorologists.

The National Weather Service and WFSB are both predicting a chance of snow and then rain on Tuesday night and into Wednesday. Little or no snow accumulation is expected, according to the National Weather Service.

After that, the next chance for inclement weather is expected to be on Friday night and into Saturday, when the National Weather Service reports Connecticut has a 40 to 50 percent chance of snow.

The wind chill will make it feel like it is between 10 and 20 degrees today, according to WFSB.

Temperatures tonight are expected to be brutally cold, with low temperatures dipping into the teens and even single digits, according to the National Weather Service.

WFSB reports temperatures will be close to record-setting.

“The record for the Hartford Area is 4, we are forecasting a low of 7,” WFSB reports. “In Bridgeport, the record is 10, while we are forecasting 15. Both records were set in 1968.”

On Tuesday, temperatures will be higher, with highs in the low to mid 30s, according to the National Weather Service.

“Thereafter, we trend a bit milder, but also a bit unsettled,” WFSB reports. “As of now, while not a big storm system, rain or snow showers appear possible on Wednesday.”

Thursday is expected to be dry and milder, with temperatures reaching into the upper 30s or even 40 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow may impact the state starting on Friday night, when the National Weather Service predicts a 40-50 percent chance. Forecasters are not yet predicting any potential totals for snowfall.

“Saturday is trending more unsettled,” WFSB reports. “Snow showers are possible as temps struggle to get out of the lower 30s. By Sunday, temperatures will be in the lower half of the 30s with a mix of sun and clouds.”
