Major Weather Changes Forecast: Here's When Our Next Storm Is Expected
After Tuesday's weather, more major weather changes are on the way for us. Here are the new details on the changing forecast.
CONNECTICUT — In looking over the weather forecast for the next several days in Connecticut, we'll definitely want to enjoy both Tuesday and Sunday.
The others days in the short-term forecast will feature plenty of clouds, and rain, especially on Thursday and Friday, but there is a 50 percent chance of light rain showers on Wednesday too.
Another couple of inches of rain could fall during the next few days.

"Today will be the nicest day of the week before coolness and rain returns, so take advantage of it," WFSB 3 TV Meteorologist Jill Gilardi with Scot Haney. "We’re calling for temperatures to reach into the lower 70s inland, in the mid 60s at the shore.
"Thereafter, an unsettled pattern looks to develop again, with scattered showers at times tomorrow," Gilardi and Haney said. "It will also be cooler with highs back in the 50s. Thursday appears to be wetter and windier.

"We’ve issued a First Alert from late Thursday into early Friday as rain could be heavier, renewing flooding concerns. We’re in the level 1 risk area for excessive rain, as we could pick up another 1-2″, locally higher amounts! A gusty wind and showers persist into Friday. Clouds may take a bit longer to exit on Saturday, but for now we are going with a mainly dry weekend," Gilardi and Haney said. (Read/watch more at WFSB 3 TV).

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. East wind 8 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph after midnight.
Thursday: Showers likely, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 55. Southeast wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Thursday Night: Rain. Low around 54. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Friday: Showers likely before 11am, then rain likely between 11am and 2pm, then a chance of showers after 2pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 62. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 46.
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 56.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.
