Several severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings were issued across Connecticut on Sunday.

There is a chance for more rain showers and an isolated storm into early Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast looks good Monday-Wednesday with sunshine and temperatures into the mid 80s. Temperatures rise to near 90 degrees on the 4th of July, with sunshine forecast.

There is a chance of thunderstorms Thursday night and Friday and a slight chance of rain showers on Saturday.

New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 84. North wind around 6 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.

Friday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
