The National Weather Service is predicting that snow is possible after 1 a.m. Saturday in southern Connecticut, and that there is a 50 percent chance of snow up until 1 p.m. Saturday. No snow accumulation estimates have yet to be released, but the weather service said "Should any snowfall occur Friday night through Saturday, there`s increasing confidence that accumulations would be light."
In northern Connecticut, the weather service said, snow is possible after 4 a.m. Saturday and up until 3 p.m. Saturday. The odds for snow are less than 50 percent currently in northern Connecticut on Saturday.

In an update on Wednesday afternoon the US National Weather Service Boston MA said, "Based on recent model trends, the offshore storm track stays favored. Chances for a major snow are unlikely this weekend. We are monitoring a weaker system that may bring trace-light accumulations of snow Saturday."
"Our longer range, global models continue to indicate a storm develops off the Mid-Atlantic Coast heading into the weekend. There is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding where it tracks relative to CT, therefore the impact to our state. For now, the latest trends show that during Saturday, a brushing with light snow is possible. It’s too early to know many details, so continue checking back for updates throughout the week...," WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said. (Read/watch more at WFSB 3 TV).
So as of now, it doesn't look like we'll need to postpone any of our weekend plans. And in looking at the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service, this is the only snow chance currently and outside of that we'll remain very cold with temperatures only in the 30s for the next week.
