WFSB 3 TV forecast updates for Wednesday

"...after starting on a dry note, strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon as an area of low pressure aloft pivots across New England. Because of this, our Early Warning Alert continues as storms that develop could produce gusty, perhaps damaging wind – that’s our biggest concern," WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said. "Some hail is possible; and with any thunderstorm, lightning is a concern. Where heavy rain occurs, poor drainage/nuisance flooding can’t be ruled out.

"While severe weather is not desirable, rain is something we could use, given June has been dry (to date, compared to normal). Radar should be active from Noon to 6pm as storms fire up and progress from west to east across the state. So if you have outdoor plans, keep an eye to the sky....The storm threat diminishes as the low moves away this evening." (Watch the full WFSB 3 TV weather forecast here).
