Weekend storm timeline, specifics via WFSB 3 TV meteorologists
"Our model guidance continues to indicate a soggy Saturday," said WFSB 3 TV chief meteorologist Mark Dixon with Mike Slifer. "While some flakes could mix in at the onset over the Hills of NW CT, this will be rain for most of the state from beginning to end. It ramps up as the day progresses, becoming steadier and perhaps heavier from the afternoon into the evening hours. Our First Alert continues since as outdoor activities will be impacted; also, poor drainage/nuisance flooding will be possible. By the time the rain ends, we could pick up between 1 and 3 inches...Sunday, we should see increasing sunshine. It will be breezy and brighter with highs in the mid-40s."
