Eastford Woman Accused of Stalking Ex With Tracking Devices
Police say GPS trackers were hidden in a vehicle and plush toy.

EASTFORD, CT — An Eastford woman is accused of planting tracking devices on her ex-boyfriend’s vehicle and in a stuffed teddy bear, state police said.
State police said they charged Jessica Benoit, 36, on a warrant Wednesday with electronic stalking, criminal impersonation, and third-degree identity theft.
According to the arrest warrant affidavit, a man who previously dated Benoit told police in July 2024 that he had found a GPS tracking device on his vehicle.

In August 2024, the man contacted police again, reporting he had also found a GPS tracker in a stuffed teddy bear, documents show.
Police launched an investigation and determined Benoit used the name of another person when registering an online account for the devices, the affidavit shows.

Benoit was arraigned on Thursday in Superior Court in Danielson, and her case was continued to March 5.
