First Look At Thanksgiving Day Forecast In CT Revealed: Here’s What To Expect

CONNECTICUT — The upcoming weekend will feature some rain showers before giving way to sunshine, and the long-range forecast calls for a pleasant Thanksgiving Day holiday, according to meteorologists.

Today’s weather is expected to be mostly cloudy, with highs reaching to around 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

WFSB reports an “area of low pressure rides along a departing cold front early Saturday,” bringing a chance for showers Saturday morning.

Both WFSB and the National Weather Service predict Saturday will become mostly sunny and breezy in the afternoon, while Sunday will be sunny.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to be pleasant for late November temperature-wise, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s, WFSB reports.

The work week starts out the same on Monday, with sunny skies and highs around 50 again, according to the National Weather Service.

WFSB meteorologists predict the next chance for rain will be late Tuesday and into Wednesday.

“We’re not expecting major impacts to the busy travel day,” WFSB reports, referencing the day before Thanksgiving.

For Thanksgiving Day, the National Weather Service predicts it will be sunny and up to 52 degrees in southern Connecticut, though it currently predicts a 30 percent chance of rain for northern Connecticut, with most of the holiday being partly sunny in the northern part of the state.

WFSB meteorologists are predicting Thanksgiving will bring nice weather.

“When it comes to Thanksgiving Thursday, the outlook is great! We’re forecasting dry and seasonable weather under a mix of sun and clouds,” WFSB reports.
