Congresswoman Jahana Hayes (CT-05) was elected as Vice Ranking Member of the Committee on Education and the Workforce. As a career educator and 2016 National Teacher of the Year, Congresswoman Hayes brings broad experience and expertise to the committee. Alongside Committee Democrats, she is prepared to work to ensure all students receive a high-quality education, expand access to affordable healthcare, and prepare workers for the modern economy.
