The holidays can often feel like a whirlwind, filled with responsibilities and expectations, particularly for parents who are juggling the demands of creating memorable experiences for their families. In anticipation of the upcoming holiday season, Fairfield University invites you to join us for "Treat Yourself to the Gift of Mindfulness and Gratitude," on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Fairfield University Store, 1499 Post Road, in downtown Fairfield.

The evening will be led by Linda Roney, EdD, RN-BC, FAAN, associate professor of nursing at the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing & Health Studies, and Paula Gill Lopez, PhD, chair of the Psychological & Educational Consultation department, and director of the School Psychology program housed within the School of Education & Human Development. Dr. Roney and Dr. Gill Lopez will share effective tips for navigating holiday stress with mindfulness and gratitude.

Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their children or other family members. While the adults participate in guided mindfulness activities, Fairfield University nursing and psychology students will lead fun holiday craft projects for the kids in a nearby breakout room.
