CONNECTICUT — An overnight snowstorm which threw much of the state into chaos, and other parts into darkness, has mostly subsided, with the exception of a few squalls.

Over 15,000 homes lost power at the storm's peak at the height of the commute.

The northeastern most areas of the state bore the brunt of the accumulation, according to snow total tallies from the National Weather Service:
