Human Remains Discovered In Container In New Britain: PD
An investigation is ongoing, according to police.
NEW BRITAIN, CT — Human remains were found in a container at an abandoned property Wednesday, according to police
Rachel Zaniewski, city spokesperson, said police were dispatched around 1 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of suspicious behavior at an abandoned property at 80 Clark St.
Officers checking the property saw a large container in the backyard along the fence line, and they discovered the remains inside it, according to Zaniewski.

Police set up a perimeter around the property and obtained a search warrant.
City assessor records show the two-story, three-family property is still owned by 80 Clark LLC of Spring Valley, New York, which purchased it in 2021 for $140,000. Its principal is listed as Moshe Grossbard, and the business’ status is listed as “forfeited,” according to the Secretary of State’s office’s website.

City police detectives are working with the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crimes unit, State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the ongoing investigation.
