Lamont Ponders Tax Cuts For New Budget: Reports

Lamont will unveil his budget plan in February.

HARTFORD, CT — Gov. Ned Lamont is expected to propose tax cuts in his two-year budget plan slated to be unveiled in February, according to WTNH and CTInsider.

Lamont declined to get into specifics but did confirm that the potential of a tax cut is “still in formation,” as reported by WTNH.

Lamont will discuss his budget proposal on Feb. 5. The governor briefly addressed the potential of a “tax cut” while speaking with reporters in Hartford on Wednesday, CTInsider reported. The legislature last approved a tax cut two years ago.
