M&T Bank Customers In Connecticut Report Online And Deposit Issues

CONNECTICUT — M&T Bank customers reported problems accessing their accounts and receiving deposits Friday morning, according to the bank and outage tracking data.

An M&T Bank spokesperson said in a social media post that the company was “experiencing issues impacting certain platforms, including Mobile,” and that technology teams were working to resolve the matter.

The outage tracking site Downdetector showed a surge of more than 2,100 reports at about 9 a.m. Friday. The activity has since subsided, holding steady at around 300-400 reports between noon and 2 p.m.

Some customers also commented on the bank’s Facebook account, saying they had not received direct deposits as expected.

In Connecticut, M&T Bank has 156 M&T Bank Branches and ATMs, and approximately 500,000 customers, according to a report from October 2024.
