Man Killed In Fiery Crash In Harwinton, ID Released: State Police
The vehicle continued "striking a sign, farm stand, and came to an uncontrolled final rest after striking a tree...," state police said.

HARWINTON, CT — Scott James White, 53, of Harwinton, was killed when his vehicle was involved in a crash on Route 222 (Hill Road) on Friday evening, state police said.
White's 2003 Honda Pilot was traveling south on Route 22 about a half-mile north of Hayden Road when his vehicle struck the wooden post and wire rope guide rail located off the westbound shoulder of the roadway, state police said.
The vehicle continued "striking a sign, farm stand, and came to an uncontrolled final rest after striking a tree...," state police said.

Following the collision, the vehicle caught fire and became fully engulfed, state police said. As a result of the collision, White was pronounced deceased on scene, state police said.
This case remains open pending further investigation, state police said.
