Mercy, Lewis Mills Reign Supreme In Final Poll Of Girls Soccer Coaches

The champions of Classes LL and M were the top vote-getters among participating coaches.

CONNECTICUT — Hot on the heels of a literal last-second 2-1 victory in the Class LL girls soccer championship game, Mercy High School wound up as the top-ranked team in Classes LL/L by a panel of Connecticut coaches.

The Tigers collected six of 10 first-place votes to top New Canaan, the Class L champion. St. Joseph placed third.

In Classes M/S, Lewis Mills was the unanimous top pick of all 10 coaches after winning the Class M championship over second-ranked Northwest Catholic. Class S winner Coginchaug was third.
