Motorcyclist, 23, Killed In Plainville Crash, ID Released: State PD

A motorcycle and a vehicle were involved in a crash, state police said.

A 23-year-old Plainville man, Peter Mark Bienasz, of Ivy Road, was killed when his motorcycle was involved in a crash with a motor vehicle, state police said.

PLAINVILLE, CT — A 23-year-old Plainville man, Peter Mark Bienasz, of Ivy Road, was killed when his motorcycle was involved in a crash with a motor vehicle, state police said.

At 12:14 p.m. Thursday, a 2009 Toyota Prius was traveling on Route 72 eastbound in the left lane of two in the area of exit 4A, state police said.

Bienasz' motorcycle was traveling in the left lane directly behind the Prius and for an "unknown reason" the motorcycle collided with the rear of the Prius, state police said.

The motorcycle then veered into the left shoulder and collided with the metal beam guardrail, state police said.

Bienasz was thrown from the vehicle and came to a final rest in the left shoulder, state police said.

Bienasz was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger in the Prius were not injured.
