BRISTOL, CT — The new local Chick-fil-A restaurant is opening for business this month.

The eatery, at 1249 Farmington Ave., will begin serving customers on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 6:30 a.m., the chain announced.

Drew Hutton, owner and operator of the Bristol restaurant, has a lengthy background with the company, and he originally started out as a team member.

Hutton, who grew up working at his father’s Chick-fil-A, pursued a career as an accountant before realizing he wanted to return to the restaurant industry.

“I look forward to building a welcoming environment where guests feel cared for every time they walk through our doors,” Hutton said, in the announcement.

Chick-fil-A serves a variety of menu options, from breakfast offerings to chicken sandwiches, nuggets, salads, fries, sodas and milkshakes.

The new Bristol restaurant is creating about 100 full and part-time jobs, according to Chick-fil-A.

The business will celebrate its opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support Connecticut Foodshare’s hunger relief efforts. It also plans to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits.

On opening day, guests who wear a cow costume or cow-spotted accessory can redeem one free entrée or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.

The restaurant’s hours will be Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
